💥 National Spotlight 💥
Manhattan, KS
We found another guy that’s about to explode on the National recruiting stage. Meet 2029 QB @jacobTBecket from Manhattan, KS. Good chat with the family this morning.
6’5 and 190 pound Gunslinger who throws the ball downfield with superior accuracy.
He also runs the read option with speed and power.
This kid has spectacular tools and he won’t need much social media help but we’ll be the first to put his name on the National stage.

Fun night in KC with my Mom @kmbecket at the @kscitymonarchs game.
@PrepBaseballKS KC Slugfest bracket play on deck. @BarnBSBAcademy 15U is 3-0 and the #2 seed but it’s a clean slate tomorrow and we need to be ready to compete. Let’s go!
@ZWeatherford55 I really appreciate you reaching out. First summer ball practice today and we play this weekend in KC. I have a connection with a former player but would love to hear more about @IndianaBase.
One of the amazing things that occurred at our regional championship the other night was seeing former players from 1997 to 2025 out there cheering on the Indians. Nothing accomplished today could occur without the building blocks of the past! #mhsproud
NEW: Kansas State is absolutely cooking on the recruiting trail
Four new predictions and several flip targets in play, as the Wildcats are trending for multiple commitments ahead of upcoming official visit weekends

Congrats to Vince Doering for being selected to play in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game on June 20 in Salina!! Vince is the first player from Manhattan selected to play in the boys all-star game since Trevor Hudgins in 2017.
Our MHS JV Baseball season came to a close with a sweep of Great Bend. We ended up 14-5-1 and won the Centennial League. Thrilled to get back on the bump one last time and threw a couple hitless, scoreless innings with a couple K’s in relief. Finished with a 1.189 ERA in 17.2 innings.
After a 10-strikeout, no-walk performance tonight, Paul Skenes now has 40 strikeouts since his last walk on April 13th 🔥
That's the most strikeouts between walks by a Pirates pitcher since the mound was moved to its current distance in 1893 ⚾
