It’s dangerous to keep giving false prophets clicks while they claim to represent the culture. Majority of “celebrities” do not donate funds to their communities. They show up when they are looking for content, being paid &/or grifting. Do the math. Yes, I said it.
** FOUNDER TIP **
You don’t need anyone doing this job until Series B. Maybe a coastal Series A, but unlikely.
You can’t afford enough ads to need one before that. Also, most of the folks that you can afford suck.
AMEN!!!
Being a VC is only a fraction as tough as being a founder. (Even a high performing VC). We have to stop pretending that VC’s are masters of the universe or smarter than founders. It’s not the case.
Easiest job I’ve ever had. I’m 10 toes down in that assessment.
A key component of community is facilitating intros. By helping others break down initial barriers to entry, you empower them to actively participate, and eventually self-sustain.
