After 10 incredible years @Urban_Teachers, I am excited to announce my new role as Vice President, Programs and Partnerships at @EqualOppSchools, where we will continue to open pathways to college for students.
I know that a lot of you are frustrated with some of the Supreme Court's recent decisions. I am, too.
But just being disappointed isn’t going to get us anywhere. We’ve got to remember that our elections — from the White House to the local courthouse — play a critical role in what becomes law.
It's often said: White kids, upon being taught the history of racism, will feel guilty or bad about being White. In fact, White kids who receive antiracist history lessons exhibit fewer racist ideas about Black people while their attitudes about White people are unaffected.
I am honored to work with this team, especially in this moment, to ensure every student reaches their full potential. I'm excited for this new role, with gratitude for the incredible people I have met and the things I have learned along the way.
“Hope is not a belief that everything will turn out well, but rather a conviction that we can make a positive difference in how things turn out. And we have very good reasons to be hopeful.”

today, I'm leaving behind the old me and embracing who I'm becoming. It's time to shine and let go of the past version of myself." 🌟✨

If you like stories about leading a rebellion against an empire, check out the Washington Monument. General George Washington won the Revolutionary War and managed to keep both his hands. Take that, Luke Skywalker. #StarWarsDay#MayThe4th

I prefer the word care over luxury. It’s simply care that we are seeking. We want to be seen and cared for like the divine beings we are. Community care will save us. Is saving us.
