Tim Curry was such a big part of my childhood, and this was one of those roles. To see this man in a movie was like seeing candy in a store. He always seemed to make any movie or media he stepped into better.

Really gonna miss him…

This reminds me of “Cossacks” or “American Conquest”, and I’m loving the esthetic and feeling of this shot. Looks sooo clean.

🇦🇺 The Infantry Section that would have been in use by 2/40th Bn AIF after it arrived in Timor in Dec 1941. They were a mostly Tasmanian unit and formed part of Sparrow Force alongside several other units. Pretty much on establishment except with Lewis Guns instead of Brens.

Battle Realms (2002, Windows)

It seems like a somewhat forgotten RTS, so it's worth making at least a short clip about it.

This new sci-fi RPG meets RTS hybrid is a lot like Mass Effect mixed with StarCraft.

Absolutely loved Celtic Kings: Rage of War. An RTS with RPG elements on every single unit. That, and a map system where linked taverns could get you between important locations no matter what stage in the game you were.

It was such a cool game. Still alive on retro game sites!

@FracturedRTS Definitely American Conquest. I can remember the muskets firing from those windows any day. Lmao

For STARSHIP TROOPERS (1997), the crew laid practical explosives across nearly a mile of desert and detonated them in a rolling chain reaction.

The ships and bugs were added later with CGI, but that enormous wall of fire is completely real.
