Last weekend, paramedics Jacynthe and Mike responded to an adult male in seizure. Their patient went into cardiac arrest and through their efforts, the paramedics were able to resuscitate him, and he regained consciousness. Congratulations!
A big shout-out to @CupeLocal503 for donating a snack table to fuel our shifts for this year's Paramedic Services Week at the @OttawaParamedic service we appreciate you ! #PSW
Congratulations to paramedics Stephen Welsh and Maciej Wisniewski who received the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery in Toronto this week. In 2021, both paramedics responded to a plane crash and rescued both occupants of the plane in a field on fire. https://t.co/9DUoAzewxO
Since Monday, officers responded to 11 separate 911 calls for people who had overdosed in the downtown core.
@ottawaparamedic rendered assistance to all in need.
Please be safe.

Everyone knows paramedics are exposed to a significantly increased incidence of trauma. In an effort to help the helpers, these awesome paramedics presented Ottawa Therapy Dogs with $3725 following frontline fundraising activities at multiple Christmas events ❤️
Recreation is important. So are sidewalks.
But we need to stop questioning why Paramedic Services in Ontario are swamped and trying to blame hospitals when the answers have been in front of our face for two decades (Hamilton: Your city may vary but your ratios will be similar)
There’s no reinforcements coming. Offload delays aren’t going to be solved. The last person to call 911 may or may not get care in time. Ontario has accepted the reality of the status quo. Do your best every day, yet save yourself first.
Given the challenges our city is facing, it is fitting to recognize this week as Paramedic Services Week. This week and every week, we must consider how positively impactful the Ottawa Paramedic Services are to our community.
Hey Ottawa,
Ontario’s mask mandate for most public spaces lifted today. We know you may be feeling a range of emotions but let us explain what this means for TOH. 1/6
PROTESTORS: We told you to leave. We gave you time to leave. We were slow and methodical, yet you were assaultive and aggressive with officers and the horses. Based on your behaviour, we are responding by including helmets and batons for our safety.
My colleagues @OttawaParamedic worked tirelessly over the weekend, many on OT or extending shift hours, to ensure the health and safety of our city. The absolute disrespect shown by these protestors is disgusting and this movement deserves nothing but condemnation
A big shout out to @CupeLocal503 for donating an absolutely generous 503$ to our @OttawaParamedic Service fundraising initiatives in support of two incredible local non-profit organizations @HospiceCareOtt and @OttawaFoodBank
We thank you and appreciate you 💖
We do great things at the @OttawaParamedic Service! Throughout the month of December we raised a grand (crazy!) total of 5053$ to split between two amazing local non-profit organizations @HospiceCareOtt and @OttawaFoodBank who's primary goal is helping our wonderful city 💖
