This is the kind of mess you get when you use the weight room position in your school just to give the head coach of (insert sport here) a teaching job. Every kid deserves a qualified S&C professional in their school! *Nothing against the kid because he’s just trying his best*
It's not every day that a 129 year old football program plays its last game. In 2024 this man, Coach Dustin Lopez @The_CoachLo, took over a team that was 1-9 the year before, doomed to close in 2 yrs, and this year he gave them a fantastic 7-5 final season of football.
Respect.

@Toohey_sp The weight room doesn’t “make you tough”, but doing hard things does.
Mental toughness is the ability to do your job the way it needs to be done when it doesn’t feel good.
I believe that’s a skill you can practice.
There’s a lot of dumb coaches who get kids hurt in the name of toughness. Don’t be stupid.
But this whole anti-toughness mentality isn’t the answer either. The whole world is preaching comfort. Coaches should be the voice pushing athletes to do hard things.
