@CMO_Odisha Kindly intervene this Brahmapur Airport .Why this airport wok is complete ?
Who is distributing to complete this airport ?
We have some doubts.
Andhra Pradesh will build a new airport near Palasa, even though its population is not more than 1 lakh
If the Centre or aviation department thinks Palasa is better than Brahmapur, then as Odias, we should feel ashamed.
This is a historic city of enormous past glory even people from Andhra once came here for settlement.
With a population of over 4.5 lakh, it serves as the undisputed commercial, educational, and healthcare hub of entire South Odisha.
It is home to the prestigious MKCG Medical College and Hospital, one of the largest and oldest government medical institutions in the state, and lies just a short drive from the beautiful Gopalpur Sea Beach and the Gopalpur Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which holds huge industrial potential.
Yet, in the last two decades or so, it has been systematically ruined and neglected.
What a downfall it would be if Brahmapur residents like us have to travel all the way to Palasa just to catch a flight.
Honestly, Berhampur deserves far better progress.
SJTA Slams ISKCON Over ‘Untimely’ Ratha Yatra, Calls It a Violation of Jagannath Traditions
In a detailed press release issued today, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) rejected ISKCON's July 12 statement, describing it as containing "false statements" and asserting that the sacred festivals must be observed only on the dates ordained in the scripture. #Odisha

South Odisha is writing AP's development destiny
While Odisha is busy celebrating Pakhala/Dahibara Dibas, AP has taken a portion of Khurda railway, is building Palasa Airport to undercut Berhampur Airport, is eyeing Kotia villages, plans to harness Vamsadhara/Jhanjavati rivers.
As former Ganjam Dist BJP President he was criticising the BJD Govt of a deliberate delay in Berhampur Airport. As Transport Minister of Odisha, he has delayed the Brahmapur Airport work further - to benefit Andhra. He is sitting on Berhampur ISBT & RTO office demands as well.
Bhubaneswar Metro is not scrapped, BJP govt. converting it into a bigger tri-city (bbsr, ctc, puri) project to secure 50:50 central govt. partnership.
Standalone Bhubaneswar phase didn't satisfy National Metro Rail Policy 2017( 2 million population + strong footfall).
tri-city metro with central partnership would sharply cut Odisha’s burden vs going solo.
Majhi Sarkar kept Ganjam’s news mill busy with repainting Berhampur into Brahmapur and celebrating Dadan Express, while neighbour Andhra quietly got two airports under UDAN.
Still, a silver lining - Brahmapur folks can cheer for the good news nearby 😁
Ekani Sabu kusi tah ?
The big conspiracy against Berhampur and Odisha is now coming out. This smells like a deal that Odisha will not sanction an Airport at Berhampur to ensure that the Airport near Palasa could be built by Andhra Pradesh. The Transport Minister should resign for defaming Odisha.
One of the best alumni engagement initiatives in Odisha.
Since 2017, the Alumni Connect Programme has invested over ₹850 crore in the development of govt schools.
Alumni have contributed more than ₹288 crore, while the state government has supported the effort with ₹571 crore in double matching grants.
A great example of communities coming together to strengthen education.
Palasa, Andhra Pradesh—a town with less than 1 lakh population—is getting a new airport under the Centre's Modified UDAN Scheme.
Meanwhile, Berhampur, Odisha's second-largest urban region with 5+ lakh people, is still waiting for a full-fledged commercial airport.
Why is Odisha always at the end of the queue? 💔

Today’s flag-changing ceremony at Shree Jagannatha Temple, Puri.
For centuries, not a single day has been missed. Rain, cyclones, or extreme weather have never stopped this sacred tradition.
Every day, the fearless servitors climb the towering temple to change the sacred Patitapabana Bana - a remarkable symbol of unwavering faith, devotion, and service.
Jai Jagannatha. 🙏
Be it hockey, rugby, athletics, swimming or gymnastics, Odisha’s contribution to Indian sports is impossible to ignore.
From nurturing champions to building world-class infrastructure and global partnerships, Odisha continues to power India’s sporting rise.
Look at the simplicity of this minister , he did not litter the road. He tucked in the backside of sticker in his pocket !
True Bengalurian !
Mentality has got it's leader after a long time
This is the second time in recent times a name has been choosen by Indian Navy from Southern Odisha. Recently Indian Navy named it's indigenously built sailing vessel as INSV Tarini, a Shakti peeth present in the Ganjam district of Odisha.
