More than three weeks after it was brought to the attention of Chief Minister @BhagwantMann that convicted former Punjab Police officials Jaspal Singh (DSP), Satnam Singh (SI) and Jasbir Singh (SI)—found guilty in the abduction and murder of human rights defender Jaswant Singh Khalra—have been untraceable since 2023, there has been no public update from the authorities.

The responsibility for allowing convicted murderers to remain absconding lies with the Chief Minister and the @PbGovtIndia. The people of Punjab and the families of victims deserve answers.

Simrandeep Kaur from Birarhwal village in Nabha tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab has cracked one of the country’s toughest examinations, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), securing an impressive All-India Rank 15.
Born into a humble farming family, Simrandeep’s journey to becoming an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer is a testament to determination, patience and unwavering belief. Her success has not only brought pride to her village but has also become an inspiration for countless children growing up in rural India.

Simrandeep completed her post-graduation in Political Science from Khalsa College. Despite facing the intense competition and pressure associated with the UPSC examination, she did not give up. It was in her fourth attempt that her years of hard work finally paid off, placing her among the top achievers in the country.

Speaking after her success, Simrandeep said she wants to remain deeply connected with her roots. “Being a girl from a village, I understand the challenges faced by rural communities. I want to work for the development of villages and contribute towards improving the lives of people living there,” she said.

Her father, Kuldeep Singh, a farmer, expressed immense pride and gratitude. Overwhelmed with emotion, he said the family plans to visit Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar to offer prayers and thank God for this achievement.

“For a farmer’s daughter to reach this position is a proud moment for us and for the entire village. If a person works hard and stays determined, nothing is impossible,” he said.

From the very beginning, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the RSS ran a campaign against communism.

In the RSS mouthpiece magazine Organiser, since the 1950s, articles were regularly published arguing that India should not recognize China’s communist government.

During the 1962 war, the RSS and Jan-Sangh made sharp comments against China, declaring that India’s relations with communist countries were dangerous.

A full chapter titled “The Communists” was included in the book “Bunch of Thoughts”, branding communist parties as an internal threat.

Later, BJP leaders coined the term “Urban Naxal” to malign those with opposing ideologies.

During the farmers’ protest, even peaceful farmers were labeled as Naxals.

At several places, fake encounters of communist activists were staged.

But today:

Russia — against whose Soviet communism the RSS stood in opposition for decades — is now being called a “time-tested friend” by the BJP government.

China — which the RSS branded for over 70 years as a treacherous communist regime — is now being embraced politically and economically.

👉 This is the hypocrisy of the RSS and BJP: from raising slogans against communism to now hugging communist countries.

Bhai Khalra talked about being a single candle which would fight the darkness. With his inspiration, countless more candles have been lit and will continue to burn until the darkness is finally dispelled.
