The award of city road contracts must be with a condition that the contractors must restore to the original condition of all related services like storm, sewer, telephone lines, internet cables, electrical poles, etc when completing the road works.

Rework costs so much to the govt exchequer when contracts awarded only for road works but not for the related utility services.
