@TifaTheMonk I find it weird how the ff7 Fandom here tries to divide the characters and pit them against each other as if you have to like one over the other. Cloud vs zack, tifa vs aerith. Do these people live in the real world lol? No one thinks like that.

But this design choice ain't it. Ill still try him of course but as of now no longer maining him like I thought I was

@coliflowerz @avatar_fighters Also its striking to me that they would sacrifice lore symbolism and accuracy for cool factor suddenly for zaheer when they've been able to do both for the rest of the cast. Everyone else is both cool and lore accurate but I digress

@vitaro_ssj @coliflowerz @avatar_fighters Yea before he learns how to fly and he tethers all ties. Him being an assist character makes sense before he learns how to fly. After his girl dies and he attains flight this changes. Thats kinda his character arc and what made him compelling to me.

@coliflowerz @avatar_fighters Having a design vision of flight plus assists for him in the first place is out of place. The whole lore of the flight ability in the show is its attained when all ties are broken and you are SOLO in the void.

@coliflowerz @avatar_fighters All the other character designs brilliantly symbolize their arc in the story (zuko redemption meter, azula crazy form when you pick her mom) why suddenly drop the ball with zaheer

@PandaKingEX @ashren_dios @Trent11000 But they've done such a good job with everyone else. Zuko having redemption bar to match his arc, azula having a crazy form when you pick her mother (the source of her insanity). Zaheer breaks this mold by making his character design not match with his arc

@ashren_dios @Trent11000 Yes. If they wanted to give us zaheer at his strongest when he learns to fly he should be a solo character. Making him an assist call character is ok for the version of him that doesnt know how to fly yet.

@PandaKingEX @ashren_dios @Trent11000 Because the assist call design choice go against his character arc in the show. He doesnt learn how to fly until after PI'LI dies and his remaining earthly ties are broken. Yet they made him fly around with the gang including Pi'LI.

@ashren_dios @Trent11000 Yea but he didnt learn how to fly until after she dies and his earthly tethers gone. Thats the whole arc of his character and the point of the void. You arent supposed to fly with earthly ties. Yet they decided to let him fly around with the whole gang including Pi'Li.
