We're doing things a little differently this year. Our campaign office is also a mutual aid hub, because taking care of Downriver means more than knocking doors, it means taking care of each other.
Come volunteer, or drop off paper products, dried goods, diapers, and formula for neighbors who need it.

Our 2026 campaign kickoff was a reminder of why I believe so deeply in Downriver.
Over the years, I have knocked on thousands of doors across Downriver. And along the way, I have come to admire the porch geese that stand watch on so many front steps. Dressed for every season, each one a small but unmistakable sign of pride, care, and a sense of home.
It may seem like a simple thing. But it speaks to something bigger. The quiet ways we show up for one another. The traditions that bind us together. The belief that where we live, and who we share it with, matters.
At a time when we are surrounded by messages of division, we can choose a different path. We can choose connection. We can choose to see ourselves in one another.
That is what community means. It is why we fight for affordable health care, strong public schools, fair utility costs, and neighborhoods where every family has a chance to thrive.
I believe in that work. I believe in this community. And I believe our future is bright.

I'm officially back on the ballot for Michigan's 27th State House District.
I lost in 2024. I'II say it plainly. But a setback isn't a stop sign- it's a test of character. I chose to keep showing up, because I have unfinished work to do in Lansing.
Childcare. Utility bills. Car insurance. The costs keep rising and Downriver families are feeling it every single day. You deserve a representative who will push back for working families- someone who is beholden to this community, not lobbyists and special interests. I have never accepted a dime of corporate money, and I'm not starting now.

Today, I testified before the Michigan House Regulatory Reform Committee on House Bill 5786, which would reduce the required training hours for barbers from 1,800 to 1,500.
This change was inspired by a constituent, the owner of Hair Lab Detroit in Southgate, who highlighted how the current requirement discourages students and creates financial burdens. At 1,800 hours, Michiganโs requirement is nearly 6 times that of EMTs and limits reciprocity with other states, making it harder for licensed barbers to move here and work.
HB 5786 will lower costs, reduce program time, and attract more barbers to Michigan.
Today, I introduced House Bills 6047 and 6048 to expand healthcare access by ensuring coverage for women and individuals seeking IVF and other reproductive care. These bills aim to support families and address critical gaps in reproductive health services. Every Michigander deserves access to the care they need.
Thank you, Downriver.
It has been an honor to serve as your representative in the Michigan State House on behalf of the 27th District. I am deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to work alongside so many passionate and dedicated members of our community.
The voters have spoken and chosen a new representative. I wish them and our community success.
Over the past two years, weโve made a lot of progress. While my time in the state house has come to an end, my commitment to our community remains steadfast. I look forward to what the future holds.
