It was Trey’s family he was waving at. Terrible ump call. He owes Trey Phelps an apology for costing him a Super regional appearance and @NCAABaseball needs to fire the man!
Coach: "He did enough to be ejected... He made remarks to our dugout..."
Reporter: "What did he say?"
Coach: "...3633 people yelling at the top of their lungs, I'm not sure, but it wasn't good."
Reporter 2: "What did he say? What made you so mad?"
Coach: "I couldn't hear it."
@corn_in_my_p00@MightySCardinal@SECUnfiltered Nope. But don’t make the moment about yourself.
If he had said something foul, why did he wait to toss him until he got to second base?
Why did the HC at Liberty say you couldn’t hear anything Phelps said?
So if no one heard anything, they’re basing this off motions. Not words
@MightySCardinal@SECUnfiltered God forbid he stare at his home run for 1.5 seconds.
Even Liberty’s head coach said they didn’t hear what Tre said. They just assumed he was talking to them
@Philcinfish@SECUnfiltered Probably like the rest and basing this tweet off my weight. All good.
It’s a short list for sure compared to these college athletes. Especially the players on this Georgia baseball team. But if this is the response you want to give, then have at it my man.
@coachglab@LazyBeagle81@SECUnfiltered You are still not saying how he acted like a fool or a punk. You’re just rebranding it. Please tell me what he did that 100’s of other players have done in college baseball that didn’t get tossed?
I’m not good with people wanting to kill emotion in sports for “having class”
Baseball needs more emotion. Not less.
Some folks would be happy with killing the game in the name of “class” while they watch from the couch.
Sports are emotional.
Let players self-regulate. If Liberty had a problem, they’d have a chance to settle it Phelps next time up.
@1Mizzou16693@SECUnfiltered It’s all good baby. You may hate me. But you still engaged with my tweet, and I appreciate that.
I appreciate all the haters and softies who have their feelings hurt. ❤️
@MightySCardinal@SECUnfiltered 1. He looked at his family in the stands.
2. Liberty thought he was talking crap and cried to umps
3. First baseman jaws, and Phelps responds.
4. Second baseman chirps, Tre keeps it pushing.
5. Throws what appears to be finger pistols.
Excessive is awfully strong.
We have to stop tossing stars and coaches in postseason play. Tre Phelps and Wes Johnson tossed on this homer. Ejections all over the place this weekend.
Every day umpires look in the mirror and say “how can I make today about me”
