We have, as far as I can tell, no good tests of the productivity impact of the autonomous coding tools that appeared starting in December 2025. Every paper out there is from prior to the Claude Code/Codex revolution.
A huge gap in our knowledge about what is happening in coding.
Most traditional job roles will disappear with AI.
People will work on short term projects and be enjoyed based on their skills portfolio.
Token stipend and return will be how you choose the project

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
If youโre building a new digital product, strongly consider launching a CLI or MCP for AI agents to use as first class citizens.
AI agents will be the #1 users on the internet.
Computer monitor interface will be PRN (when needed). Everything will be done by voice (takes no visual attention). Work can be done while you interact with the world!
Anyone else see an issue with usage limits rn? I was on 50% weekly usage yesterday, my overnight agent ran as usual, now Iโm on 100% used today!

Weโve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity.
This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that weโve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.
you need to tattoo this Boris Cherny quote into your brain:
"coding is the easy part, it's knowing the domain that's the hard part"
every week a new startup drops a launch video saying they "killed influencer marketing" or something
but they don't get it.
creating the thing is NOT the hard part
it's understanding what thing you have to create, at what moment, and in what way
and that takes years of pattern recognition from actually being in the arena and seeing what works
AI can't shortcut that for you
@adamsilverman Interesting. I use it with Claude on my Mac mini everyday. Never had any issue. Always get a reply. Dispatch is the whole reason Iโve not followed the Codex switch as I do most work from my phone now
