My favorite thing about Twitter is when you open your feed and see something interesting that you never saw before and then it changes for no reason and you can never see that other thing again.
Breaking: After a historic 19-season run in Pittsburgh, Mike Tomlin just informed his team that he is stepping down as the Steelers head coach, sources tell @JFowlerESPN and me.
The Steelers now will be looking for only their fourth head coach since 1969.
"The SEC was only dominate because we illegally paid players. Now that the playing field is even, it's evident the B1G is the best football conference in the country."
I liked expanding the playoff from 4 to 12 because of a situation just like this year, where after Indiana you had a handful of teams (Ohio State, Georgia, Tech & Oregon along with A&M/Ole Miss) who all had legit claims.
But that’s where it ends. All teams outside that group have no legitimate argument of “deserving” to be in, and are simply lucky to be included.
I would’ve had Miami then Notre Dame with Bama being left out, but ultimately it’s irrelevant.
This system was created to make sure that we didn’t have to choose only 3 of Ohio State/Georgia/Tech/Oregon/A&M/Ole Miss, and in that regard it works perfectly.
Everyone else should just be happy to have been considered.
#Steelers HC Mike Tomlin was asked what it's like for him to hear fans saying he has to go. He began his answer with a smile:
"In general, I agree with them — from this perspective. Football is our game. We're in the sport entertainment business. And so, if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning. And so, when you're not winning, it's not entertaining.
"And if you've been in this business, you understand that. And so, I respect it. I share frustrations. I understand what makes this thing go, and winning is what makes this thing go." #HereWeGo
Most points from a duo this season:
30pts — Crosby and Malkin
29pts — Eichel and Stone
28pts — Schmaltz and Keller
26pts — Mackinnon and Necas
26pts — Nylander and Tavares
25pts — Kaprizov and Boldy
Arguably the greatest duo in hockey history.
@snyjets If people actually watched the video instead of just reading the text...
This is an awesome answer, props to Fields. Yeah you're sucking at playing a game for a living, against the best of the best in the world, while making a ton of money... "so terrible."
Justin Fields was asked how disappointed he is about being in this position:
"I'm at peace, brother. That's what it is. When you're really in tune with God, nothing can actually like... I'm not even going to speak to what I was about to say as an example, but literally everything around me can 'be negative' in terms of the world, but I promise you, there's nothing in this world, there's nothing that can faze me and that's just due to my relationship with the Lord. It's not on me."
“There’s people out there — children — who are experiencing the same thing that I experienced,” Henderson says. “People need answers. I just remember me being a kid. I didn’t know the answers. I didn’t have any hope. And there’s not only children, but adults as well. These people, they’re searching for answers and they’re looking for hope. But they’re looking in the wrong places.”
The answer is Jesus
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
It’s absurd that NBA broadcasts don’t have a banner pop up after every made basket with the scorer’s name and their current stat line. Embrace fantasy and betting like other leagues please.
Stop what you're doing & watch this unreal assist from Sidney Crosby! 🤩
Sid becomes the first player ever to reach 90 points at least three times after turning 35 years old.
