My hot take Jake for today is disc golf tags are dumb. Tag hoarding ruins the fun and will never not be a problem. Plus i have 10 lbs of polluting plastic in my basement from old tags. Wasteful I think. #discgolf

#discgolf is like #golf except there’s no standard for par. So the good players can shoot -16 on a daily basis and just be like “yeah, that’s cool” while just like golf, 99% of people still just want to get a birdie

I think #discgolf tournaments need to deny naming rights for title sponsors. Bring back slick simple names like “the music city open” and make the sponsors compete for prime marketing locations, banners, branded course improvements, and host the best mini games and events.

#discgolf should start a disc grading program. I get that discs are meant to be thrown, but some collectibles are so old and brittle that they SHOULDN’T be thrown. So a nice shadow box giving the disc a “grade” could seriously solidify the collector market for vintage discs.

In today’s #discgolf world, added cash is very important. Inflation has outpaced tournament added cash requirements, so it’s much easier to run a “big” event today than it was in 2010.
