@midwit_capital I also am paying attention to the headwinds here, they openly admitted that performance was dampened due to their customers either being acquired, or having layoffs. Something to watch...
(Two competing forces at play here!)
@midwit_capital@bstaples Which AI lab do you think it is?
I guess one of the big two (OAI or Anthropic).
I actually was not aware Gitlab is the top open source contributor to Git. Pretty neat. They are literally a dam in the AI stream, not fishing from the side.
Who else is going to listen to the $GTLB earnings report on Tuesday?
🙋♀️
@bstaples will you be covering the impact (of lack thereof) of the GitHub outages and if that has increased inbound enterprise deal flow?
I'm just secretly hoping for the stock to dip so I can get more cheap shares. Also duoagent was launched this year maybe 3/4 months ago so adoption curve will need to happen before meaningful revenue is reported. It's just speculation of a lag time on the top line addition being meaningful enough for wall street to care (however, I care and am watching it closely/part of the reason why I aggressively bought the stock under $25)
I agree GitHub is sticky and I believe both GitHub and Gitlab will thrive, they will both win. Use cases are pretty different on the margins when it comes to enterprise use cases and audit ability/HIPAA crap/etc etc (Gitlab wins there, also wins for self hosting)
$GTLB is up over 30% from it's lows.
Every green dot is a buy, sitting on 27% unrealized gain just in a couple months timeframe.
Honestly, I hope it turns into an unrealized loss so I can buy more cheap shares.
Am I the only investor who is upset when a stock runs too quickly? It's still a good buy here, but >$20 a share buys were just free money IMO.
$BB Blackberry's overall revenue chart is insane.
Even crazier, I believe many AI companies arbitraging cloned Dev tools/prompts and even some neo cloud/GPU shops will look like this.
Seems like investors are forgetting not all companies survive the boom.
Yeah... I did good 😎
Unrealized gain >35% in months, earnings next week. Honestly, I hope it dips again so I can buy more. This puppy has retraced it's SaaSpocolypse dip too fast.
Long $GTLB, will be acquired or a $100 stock by 2030 (that's my bold prediction).
I believe that $MELI is half off. Said another way, MercadoLibre's price could reasonably double from here and be appropriate for the business's current cash generation, i.e. not even taking into account any price appreciation from cash flows building over time. The article below explains why.
Sold $BABA at $142.69 before earnings
Now it's trading at $124.69
Of course, fintwit ripped me online for this move.
A superpower really is trusting yourself, and not being swayed by other peoples opinions and what the "masses" in the market are doing.
@cryptopunk2020 I honestly hope so! I would love more cheap shares. I'm not ready for this to run.
I do expect some Github -> Gitlab migration and excitement, but I don't expect to see any meaningful contribution from DuoAgent until next quarter, if not after that.
@midwit_capital I love Gitlab but their PR team needs some rework...
It's too factual and lacks personality.
At least this is a weakness I can stomach since they don't get many customers from X if I had to guess 🤷♀️
@BradoCapital It's a rare breed to enjoy chewing glass, and waking up every day to get punched in the face.
Your success so far is truly impressive, trust your gut and don't forget the wins when shit hits the fan.
And don't feel guilty to close the computer and take a walk/gym!
@clnuponaisle5 Decisions decisions!
I'm a pretty boring _just buy the stock_ guy, so I have nothing helpful to say here.
Not financial advice, but in my opinion this is under valued sub-$35, but no clue as to when the market will "agree".
