- At least 28 people killed since yesterday as Israeli military intensifies strikes and accelerates operations in south Lebanon.
- Fighting is particularly fierce in Nabatieh district as Israeli troops attempt to push past the “yellow line” (their current zone of ground operations). Hezbollah says it’s been clashing with Israelis in Zawtar al Sharqieh since dawn.
- Dozens of Israeli airstrikes across over 20 villages in south Lebanon and west Bekaa overnight & today -- killing at least 11 people in just one town, Mashghara.

Artillery intermittently strikes from somewhere nearby in Nabatieh city.
10 days ago a piece of shrapnel shot through the window of the medic's quarters here.
Ali Reda shows me the shrapnel the size of a thumb: "If it had hit someone it would have carved them in two"
Embedded with paramedics in Nabatieh tonight. A huge boom from an airstrike was heard 20 minutes ago, a strike on Habbouch 2km away. The ambulances shoot off and and return. One of the attending medics homes has been flattened, no casualties, just all his belongings gone.
More than 3040 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, since March 2, including:
211 children
293 women
116 Health and rescue workers
Israeli attacks have killed more than 7000 people in Lebanon since October 2023.
Israel killed Hafez Ali Yahya, a member of Lebanese Civil Defence, in a strike on his car on Friday despite the “ceasefire”. He was driving home from the civil defence centre in Rachaya to Kfarchouba, just five kilometres away, when his vehicle was hit. He was a father of three, and a veteran first responder since 2001.
His killing brings to 7 the number of Lebanese Civil Defence members killed since March 2. The institution operates under Lebanon’s Interior Ministry and is not a party to the conflict.
WHO has verified 152 attacks on healthcare in Lebanon, killing 103 and wounding 241 since the war began.
Rabie Ali, a paramedic, was also killed today in Baracheet.
Over 103 medics & rescue workers have been killed since March 2.
Not numbers. Not military. First responders.
The Israeli government has approved a $334 million plan to transfer thousands more Israeli civilians into the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The decision, adopted by the cabinet on April 17, 2026, is a clear statement of intent to commit war crimes.

Israel killed three more Lebanese medics today. This is not a war strategy that picked up in the Gaza genocide
It's a precedent Israel cultivated for decades, particularly during its 1982 invasion of Lebanon
I wrote about it weeks ago for @inkstickmedia

Nor is there peace in the daylight. Israel has repeatedly hit cars and homes, waited for medics to arrive and then struck again as the workers and volunteers attempt to salvage a life. Mehdi, another member of Mohamed's team was killed in this way just a week ago.
I've been meeting with paramedics in Southern Lebanon this past week whose colleagues have been repeatedly singled out for killing by Israel. One team I stayed with has lost three of it's 40 strong team including Joud the 16-year-old son of the captain.
The father of Joud sleeps in a large hall besides a hospital with his boisterous colleagues, each night. Every time the lights dim there is uncertainty if Israel will choose to simply bomb them; as they did to the medical workers in Burj Qalawayeh in March, killing 12.
Lebanese Civil Defence are reporting that a crew of first responders has been targeted in an Israeli strike as the crew responded to an attack in Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. Three of the first responders are trapped under the rubble. Work is ongoing to evacuate them in cooperation with the Leb army.
Israel is executing medics and it is executing journalists. It's doing this in #Lebanon because it was allowed to do it in #Gaza.
And it will continue to do it elsewhere unless action is taken to stop Israel from committing atrocity crimes.
