Now that I’ve settled the heart rate down, here are my takeaways from the home opener:
- Sean Burke should get an opener forever
- Jordan Seizure should never pitch in a high leverage spot ever again
- Mune has more aura than this park has seen in years
- He isn’t flashy, or toolsy, and he doesn’t have much that jumps off the page, but Tristan Peters wants to win and you can see it in the way he plays. No regard for his body, and fights in every single AB.
That is all.
What a moment for 25-year old Tristan Peters, making his @MLB debut for @RaysBaseball. My story on how he got the call, his Canadian roots and why he’s owed some breakfast on this West Coast trip. @DurhamBulls@tristandpeters
What a month!
In June, the Tampa Bay Rays tied for the most Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month honors among all MLB organizations—headlined by a dominant sweep of both awards in the International League.
Congrats to Joe Boyle, Tristan Peters, and Angel Mateo!
