@Conaw @RoamResearch This loosely reminds me of when Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone. We had web browsers, we had iPods, we had phones. The iPhone was just an innovative way of thinking about those things. Similar to how @RoamResearch is approaching PKM.

@Conaw @AthensResearch @patio11 15$/mo is giving Roam away for free. The Scholars program is wonderful way to address the gap for users who have the need.
Unfortunately, we live in an environment where there’s a freemium expectation, and that’s generally just unsustainable garbage. #DontShipGarbage

@birdsandbri It’s an interesting dynamic because in science, in higher level classes, researchers make incredible educators for this reason; however, in low-level classes, you almost need someone trained in/passionate about educating. Specialty is less of a factor.

@birdsandbri Passion for a subject by an educator makes the student feel “if this person is interested, I am too”��often in 100-level classes the matieral isn’t new or exciting to educators, and passion isn’t as apparent as a more focused, higher level class.

@vgr You wouldn’t just go blindly guessing on actions to take regarding your long-term physical health—that’s for doctors/medical professionals. Same philosophy should be applied to your long-term financial health, as well.

@david_perell The best classes I’ve had (biochemistry degree) are the advanced level classes that closely overlap with the instructors research—passion for the subject is obvious and contagious.
