This is exactly right! Re-opening schools should have been a priority from the beginning. Laying out a safe and effective plan for both students and teachers to be in the classroom - not when can I get my honky tonk on
Re-opening schools should have been a top priority. But that would’ve required treating it like more of a priority.
Re-opening schools should’ve been more important than re-opening bars and more important than the feelings of dudes who think masks threaten their liberties. 1/
It's so heartbreaking to think of the thousands of lives and jobs that would have been saved if we had a clear bipartisan message for universal mask wearing. And it's even more gut wrenching to think that we are on our way to screwing that up again. Please wear your mask.
‘I will never understand’ is not enough.
‘I see you” is not enough.
‘All Lives Matter’ is not enough.
Anti-Trump sentiment is not enough.

The big guy looks like Chris Farley as a cop. Unfortunately, it’s not Chris Farley and this is not a joke. Time and time again we see despicable actions from those who swore to protect us. When is it going to stop?? When will we see accountability??
We should bail out people. We should bail out hospitals. We should bail out small businesses. We should bail out nonprofits. We should bail out healthcare workers. We should bail out the sick. We should bail out people who are not permitted to stop working.
A year ago today I made the decision to demand better self respect and honor for myself my family and art by removing substance abuse from my life. I am very thankful for my people and for that moving Spirit to throw me on the path to clearer things.

Call me radical, but maybe instead of setting ablaze hundreds of millions of dollars on multiple plutocratic, long-shot, very-late presidential bids, we instead invest hundreds of millions into winning majorities of state legislatures across the United States?
Just a thought!
