Everyone keeps posting about tariffs evaluated by the total dollar amount of goods.
This is a view based on container volume which has an entire additional economy attached it to - Ocean shipping, Ports, Rail, Trucks, Warehouses, etc.
Just because something is "high valued" or lower valued, doesn't mean as much.
Container volumes are very indicative of economic shocks as well.
For example, furniture isn't as expensive as electronics (microchips) but has a massive footprint with container volumes.
I understand for a lot of people the context on this RV trip is missing.
Last year I randomly drove an RV across the country leading up to our biggest industry event.
In went somewhat viral, and so we decided to do it again.
We now have a nicer RV, twice as many stops, and documentary film crew following us as we interview our customers and tell our story.
The suits won't let me drive this year, but I've already figured out a workaround.
I'm currently copying and pasting from LinkedIn (yes, I know it's onlyfans for middle managers ๐คฎ) because I'm lazy, but I'll figure out how to get it right for this website.
