@basilrathboner9 @AriWasserman ND had one play longer than 15 yards against UGA. They kicked 3 FGs 45+ and had a 13 yard TD. Tell me how ND didn’t get mauled?
@basilrathboner9 @AriWasserman I mean they did out gain ND so…I’m not sure what your argument is. ND didn’t turn it over so they won? Congrats. I bet it’s fun playing with a backup QB amiright?
@basilrathboner9 @AriWasserman Doesn’t matter, they lost. They didn’t play well. But to say ND dominated UGA is a lie. ND had one play over 15 yards against UGA. Keep thinking ND is elite.
@basilrathboner9 @AriWasserman I will say the commonality between the two games is that ND is getting out-gained by 1 YPP just like they did in the Sugar.
@basilrathboner9 @AriWasserman Increasingly apparent that ND played their Super Bowl in New Orleans. Their effort is significantly less and they aren’t playing a perfect game like they did in the Sugar.
@ornerydonowitz@1_and_only_grip@AriWasserman They won because they played clean and UGA didn’t. ND had 2 drives longer than 32 yards. Your 50% kicker made 3 over 45. A 12 yard TD and KO TD. Congrats. ND won it. They weren’t ’decisively better.’ Does ND win without turnovers and Kick return? Enjoy losing by 4 TDs to Ohio St.
@ornerydonowitz@1_and_only_grip@AriWasserman UGA has played the majority of the season with multiple players missing. They played Tennessee with one scholarship RB. Injuries are a part of the game. But missing your 5th year QB in a playoff game is seismic.
@ornerydonowitz@1_and_only_grip@AriWasserman If you don’t think a QB making his first start didn’t significantly handicap the team then you are a goon. Would Beck have won the game last night? No. Too much to overcome. If you don’t think operationally he would have made a difference then you actually don’t know ball.
@GreatAgainMatty@AriWasserman Great discourse. I’m on the record saying that ND outplayed and out-coached UGA. However, the notion that they were dominated is absurd and not reality. And yes, you’ll be crying when Ohio State beats this dusty ND team by 28.
@GreatAgainMatty@AriWasserman No coping. Averaged 1 YPP more than ND. ND had 2 drives longer than 32 yards and somehow managed to win by 13. Tell me how UGA didn’t make catastrophic errors. ND played clean, UGA didn’t. Congrats on being the sacrificial lamb to Ohio State.
