@cpaterso @mollywmus I would suggest the use protocols that have intentional use of turn taking, pair sharing, and utilize a buddy system. ie, chalk talk on a digital white board, Socratic seminars for discussion, etc. The visible learning works like see/think/wonder worked too for texts and inquiry.

Teachers, as you sit through PD/ training this summer, See how long it takes you to zone out, check your phone or go to restroom. Then remember this as you prep lessons for this fall. You know Those bundles of energy have an even shorter attention span than you.
