Git worktrees are great for running multiple Claude Code sessions in parallel. Until you realize each one needs its own database, its own Herd domain, its own Vite port, and a properly configured .env.

Setting that up manually every time kills the whole point.

node_modules and vendor eating your Mac storage with worktrees? That was me.

Turns out CoW (Copy-on-Write) changes everything - no more actual file duplication until you need it. Setup went from minutes → seconds.

Creates the DB, installs dependencies, links Herd, finds a free Vite port, runs migrations. Under a minute.

./claude-worktree-remove(dot)sh feature-billing
Tears everything down. No leftover databases, no phantom domains.

(X turns .sh into links, hence the dot)
