Thanks, PointlessHub, for perfectly explaining why showrunners or directors doing this nonsense with video game adaptations is such a big red flag. And for some reason, people twist that into thinking we all want Mario Movie level fan service (I fucking don’t)
For starters?
-Jen Walters- Insufferable. A sock puppet for the writers to whine about how much they hate the character's own target audience (and men in particular).
-Riri Williams- Loathsome, narcissistic, egomaniacal, unrepentant criminal who sold her soul to Satan. An actual villain and everyone knew it except the writers.
-Sam Wilson- A formerly fun, likeable character who was great the way he was, but had his identity (and most of his personality) stripped away, so the writers could turn him into a bland, preachy ideologue to force their own obnoxious, sophomoric politics on fans who just want to be entertained.
Why did they all flop? Yeah, it's a real mystery... 🙄
Broken Legs, Body Full of Shrapnel — He Still Got Every Man Out - Maj. James Capers, Jr. The First Black Marine Officer Nominated for the Medal of Honor Just Got It
I heard someone say, satan got adam and eve to fix their eyes on one tree when god had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of god that's already surrounding you.
