@tombennett71 I’d say this is more a unregulated and poorly expressed response to a feeling of frustration/shame/anger. Absolutely agree that need is unhelpful as it suggests it should be met. Need teach response to dealing with needs not being met
@tombennett71 The point it makes ks somewhat valid but the take away is children need emotional Intelligence teaching so they can better identify, regulate and appropriately express emotions. I’m thinking of the the work of @marcbrackett and separately Gordon Neufeld
@KayBurley@NEUnion The problem is we’re expecting Kay to be a news analyst but she’s not paid to do that - far from it. She’s paid to be an entertainer and she does this by stoking fires and fuelling an outrage engine. Who’s she to let facts get in the way
Pt 2: Grief told father in law where head was but it was attached to body. They could not revel the head had been found hence Grief now has a week to live. Grief or Janice engineered them meeting between Janice and Beth and I suspect Janice chose the vicar too. #InsideMan
Pt 1 Janice is Grief’s wife. She murdered somebody. Grief took the blame. They removed victim’s head mutilated the body and Janice smeared her blood over crime scene to make it look like her. She then disappeared. #insideman
@MissKingTeach I know how you feel. I feel guilty chatting with colleagues at the end of the day because I could be doing more marking and ensuring I survive the next scrutiny
@Jon_Torbitt@ruskin147@john_p_d A class set of working computers with the necessary specification to teach computing would be a start. Curriculum introduced without training or funding. Such a shame
When I taught the rise of the Nazis, at some point a worried kid would always ask "But it couldn't happen here, could it?"
Well, let's see:
1. Far-Right politician Farage promotes openly racist Brexit poster, and is still platformed and treated as mainstream by the media.
Rosenshine's Principles in Action: > Just a month to go before this short guide/explainer is published. All the writing and illustrations done.. it’s now being assembled. Exciting! @JohnCattEd https://t.co/cXCYLnH7Wq
@EthicalHt @etaknipsa @FakeHeadteacher @Ofstednews I’m sure Sean Harford said this was not necessary in his Ofsted myths document. Please report the comment to him. He is very approachable
“Become a teacher and we’ll give you XXXX” seems to be trending. What about “teachings an awesome job and we’ll stop destroying it now, so come back”. That’d be better.
As a History teacher, one of my most important jobs is to teach children about the holocaust. This is a big responsibility - when 1/20 Britons don't believe it happened. I can make a huge difference - so can you. That's what makes teaching so special. #HolocaustMemorialDay
