I visited the Alienware Training Facility to see how the sausage gets made (windchime gets ringed?) in the biggest community event in World of Warcraft.

— CARMAGEDDON: ROGUE SHIFT CAR DESTRUCTION LIVESTREAM —
Friday, Feb. 6th @ 10AM PT / 7PM CET & hosted by @JamesDash@extraemilyy & @yvonnie VS @loltyler1 & @kingvader
Who will survive the Wasteland and be immortalized in-game?
You can put on a show without being disrespectful. You can have rivalries without hate or anger. You can have fun and embrace “new” without that meaning you’re attacking “old” (or anyone!).
If you are outraged, that’s about you. Not about what happened or the people involved.
There's a big difference between what Carlsen and Hikaru did. When Carlsen banged the table a few months back, that was pure emotion and frustration. But what Hikaru did by tossing his king piece? That was different. He was putting on a show and giving the event the entertainment it called for.
I think Indian fans really need to see this distinction and stop looking at the world with the mentality that "everyone is against us because we're the best."
Also, for anyone else calling this stuff out, you have to understand that chess is not a spectator-friendly sport. People are putting in real effort and burning a lot of their own money just to innovate and try new things, all for the love of the game. If we constantly criticize everything that doesn't fit our traditional "idea of chess," organizers will just stop doing these events to avoid the backlash.
So, huge props to @CheckmateUSAIND for pulling this off, and another huge props to all the players who worked to make it super exciting for the fans.
Asked to sum up his teammates in one word, @sagarchess1 could not help but give more.
🇮🇳 Gukesh: “Legend”
🇮🇳 Arjun: “Lovely”
🇮🇳 Divya: “Legend in the making”
🇮🇳 Ethan: “Made for greatness”
🇮🇳 Himself: “Calm and cool”
Not exactly one word each, but that is Sagar’s spirit. Generous. Always spotting greatness in others.
