None of this is real, any reasonable analysis of how much the lawsuit advanced in the trial process would indicate that all the go-fund-me money was spent on legal costs.

Don’t fall for it.

@Mojawk_UK@CaptainSurefire@bradtravelers@ladybrighthands This is what was done on the Blu-Rays from a few years ago, now compare that to the work done on true rescans of Star Trek: The Next Generation which was only scanned at 1080p at 4:3, we know SG-1 filmed in wide and we would see the benefits of having more of the original details
Hey @bradtravelers with the announcement of a new Stargate show. What are the chances that we could receive 4K or even 8K rescans of the original series prints like other prominent long running Sci-Fi series have done in the past (Hopefully with minimal AI used)?
@MattR1947@bradtravelers There’s nothing really beneficial to keeping it in 4:3 to modern audiences with widescreen tvs. In most instances during film making even way back before SG-1, just look at The Children Of The Gods Final Cut we could be missing really cool stuff off camera in other episodes!
@CaptainSurefire@SouthpawJenn@bradtravelers@javilopen If you really had to use AI the only place where it would make sense and piss off the human eye less would be in preliminary model texture work, input old low res texture, output higher res recreation of original artists intent and then touch up. It could be used on any CGI.
@yojoono@bradtravelers To my knowledge most studios have VFX and models saved just in case, I could see them having saved most entire digital scenes as well, all that has to be done is exporting them at higher resolution to replant them in the same scenes marked by the directors in the editing bay.
@bradtravelers@CaptainSurefire@JamesGlodo@amazon@JeffBezos can we pretty plz get remaster of all SG series like what Star Trek did? (Going back to the original film reals, 4k scam them/clean, reassembling the edits, remake the effects in 4k, improved audio and hell, maybe even combining the 2 parters into movies? 🙏✨)
@bradtravelers According to google, scanning at 4K is “enough” resolution-wise for Super 16 but that doesn’t include CG effects or the requirement to reframe original 4:3 scenes in 16:9. 8K can future proof it and make film grain more visible and post production easier at lowered resolutions.
