BREAKING: Monkeypox in the US crossed 10,000 cases after the CDC added a whopping 899 new monkeypox cases in the last 24 hours. Just 30 days ago the US had only 767 cases.

2 monkeypox cases under the age of 18 were detected in Germany 🇩🇪.

These are the first cases to be detected in such group age in the country since the outbreak started.

Deaths will come in faster over the next weeks.
I assume we will stay around under 0.01% mortality but honestly it is the extreme pain, extended quarantine, and long infectious period that sets this one apart.

@WszyscyUmrzemyl We can hope. Surface spread of #monkeypox in schools/colleges would be a disaster, especially since the quarantine is 2-4 weeks. Bad for students, teachers, and school even without deaths or long-term health issues.
