Well that is a non statement. What are you saying? I may be incorrect, but this started with Justin Trudeau. At dinner with Trump he supposedly stated Canada would sink without 2billion on tariff fees annually from the US. I think Trump was taken aback in shock. And if that was the gist of it- why would that be expected of one’s neighbor? Corrected me if I am wrong.

Well, the French have been dumping on the US since Charles DeGaul. But the US needs to tighten relationships with our allies. Finland, Poland, Sweden an the Baltics are relying on us. Plus it make sense to fold in Japan, South Korea and of course Australia. That reduces risks for outliers. China is assuming they will inherit Russia if it collapses.

All good points. On Iran, I would point to good objective vis-a-vis hostile nuclear threats. My caution is we have two powers playing “rope a dope” simultaneously. They are strategies that Encourage just one more grand gesture on each side. Recall at the end of WWII, it was the German troops in that knew they were on the losing end- not the general staff.

Recall, the CCP military think tank vigorously prompted the idea that Russia’s failure in communism was”that they were not communist enough. As we see the widening cracks in the CCP, the recent coup attempt was not a quirk. Xi would appear to be in trouble. The youth unemployment is in the area of 16%. The problem would appear to be leadership.
