@valmysk @WestJet WestJet seems to pass off all luggage-real complaints to third party contractors. I’m in the same boat and have received no assistance or follow-up. They will pretend you don’t exist.
@WestJet Apologies won’t unite me with my luggage. This is my 5th day in London, and to add insult to injury my Apple AirTag confirms my bag has been at LHR since Dec 22. Emails to WJ are unanswered. Phone calls go to voicemail Hell. WJ has washed its hands of us. “Sorry” is worthless.
@smerconish@YaleLawSch@CNN@cnni “Trap House” is the lynchpin wording here, and linked with Popeyes (the “fried chicken” racial trope), is problematic. That this came from another marginalized group (Native American students) is hard to explain. Surely NALSA was more sensitive than most to this kind of speech.
@smerconish@ToddZywicki @SXMPOTUS @SIRIUSXM Zywicki’s arguments about personal liberty are tertiary concerns in the midst of a public health crisis. They are chairs on the Titanic. Bandits like Tucker Carlson use this same approach to convince Americans to resist the vaccine. For many, the choice is now liberty or death.
@stephensackur Fantastic interview, Stephen. I was particularly intrigued by James’ take on AI, and how we humans might someday be perceived as plant-like creatures by intelligent machines.
@smerconish@FlipPidot @SXMPOTUS @SIRIUSXM Over 32 million people STILL think Trump is the best choice. 32 milllion Americans (and counting) STILL want this guy to lead them. What is wrong with your country?
@smerconish@JeffreyGoldberg@TheAtlantic@realDonaldTrump@JoeBiden Setting aside “confirmation” for the moment, are you suggesting Goldberg was wrong to publish a story with multiple sources? Are you suggesting the story is unreliable? Are you suggesting we should look to John Bolton - of all people - for the truth? Why not ask Don Jr.
@joelockhart From your NYT piece: “He represents a clear and present danger to our national security.” If true, there’s no political angle here. Every day in office puts the Republic at grave risk. If so, impeachment is a moral imperative.
@smerconish Legalization means regulation, not just taxation. Exposing the sex industry to government scrutiny might limit trafficking. I think that’s what Michael was suggesting. It’s is a sunshine-as-disinfectant argument.
