@FootballCliches commentator at Villa Vs Fulham mentioned that McGinn "got the winner" for Villa against Bologna in the week. I always associate getting "the winner" can only occur when a team scores when the game is 1-1, 2-2 etc to go onto win by a single goal.

@Mollys_ADHD I work in education and closely with kids with SEN and SEMH and you will almost never hear terminology like that used. A lot of schools don't even label themselves as Pupil Referral Units anymore
