@will_hooley I think the major flaw in this is that referees already let a lot of things go that are technically illegal to speed it up and players will abuse this by calling for challenges knowing that by an official review will award them a penalty, I.e. sealing off, forward passes.
@William232393@chriscom77 Just as the people coming for John are obviously wrong, a statement like this is also obviously wrong and a false equivalence, such an odd argument to throw into the mix of discourse. About on par with saying why is the n word in John’s vocabulary.
@Dreadful4Tymes If anyone should apologise it’s the BAFTA and everyone who has the same opinion as you to make a man who has suffered much more than everyone commenting his whole life, apologise for his disability. Have some shame.
@myronjclifton step back from your ‘and that’s the tea’, and ‘period’ mindset and actually use some critical thinking or even just spent 20 minutes watching the documentaries about John. Then you would realise how much you are uneducated on this topic and that everyone involved deserves empathy
@PelsOfWisdom No it’s not have a day off, if you think it’s targeted, you’re asking to be a victim. If it was someone in a wheelchair, it would have been a disabled slur. Watch one documentary and then come back before you just post rubbish.
@rlynotvon @dnvrsn You are so uneducated on Tourette’s. The heightened pressure of a full room is like a red rag to a bull, this means he is likely to say the most inappropriate thing at the worst time above all else as that is the thing he subconsciously is trying to avoid.
@FMC_Rugby I worked at Opta for a period, from what I can remember, a missed tackle was attributed if a player is in a realistic position to make a tackle but is evaded completely. If a player makes a scrag tackle then the attacker is tackled straight away that counts as a passive tackle.
@emkenobi@PopBase I don’t like Ricky Gervais because he’s not funny anymore and was carried by merchant but you’re all thick if you think he wouldn’t find this funny or be offended by it
@TomMav24 @KarlBrophy@TiareTawera@brettruganalyst I know what you’re saying but as a tackler you have the option to make the contact in a different way where your outcome doesn’t involve being on the attacking teams side preventing entry.
