Church Fathers would tell American Christians: Stop treating politics as salvation. Neither Zionism nor Communism is the Gospel. Obey civil authority in temporal matters as long as it does not force denial of Christ (Rom 13; Acts 5:29). Reject atheistic materialism that abolishes God and property. Private ownership is legitimate; forced equality is not. Pray for rulers, live holy lives, practice charity, and if the state demands apostasy, refuse and endure the cost. The City of God outranks every earthly faction.
