You like me obviously love evolutionary trees🌳, not only bc of their beauty, but also bc their power for evolutionary studies. How should we build trees in the 21st century? New paper with @evopalaeo@RussellGarwood out this week, THREAD for #PhylogenyPhriday 1/n
Forever worrying about how many morphological characters to use in your phylo analyses? I know I am! Come see my talk at 11.15 in room 235/Mesiall at @Evol_mtg where I'll talk about exactly that

@drmambobob I use a company I found on Insta. You send off your film then get it back in either physical or digital form. Beware though, film is getting more and more expensive! I'd suggest getting a simple point&shoot on eBay or the like for ~£20

Our rphylopic package (@willgearty and I) allows users to conveniently add silhouettes of organisms from @PhyloPic to plots in R. 🕷️
But did you know that you can also use the package to conveniently add other images to plots? 😉
