Can anyone vaguely recall when it became clear pop music would last? Been watching the Xmas 1971 Top of the Pops and Tony Blackburn asked "Do you remember this ?" when introducing Maggie May from earlier in the year. 54 years later, I'd guess pretty much everyone still can.
