Drinking isn’t just a habit…

It’s a default action you lean on when you’re bored, stressed, or avoiding something deeper.

And it’s not just about the drinks—it’s about what’s behind them:

• Overdrinking isn’t “just a bad habit”—it’s gluttony in a different form.

• It’s wrecking your health, your relationships, and your purpose.
• And yeah, it’s dishonoring God.

You know it. I know it. So let’s stop pretending it’s “no big deal.”

So if you want to stop relying on alcohol…

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Own It and Repent

Stop saying, “I just can’t say no.” That’s a lie.

You can say no, but first, you need to admit this isn’t just a bad habit—it’s sin.

Own it. Confess it. Commit to change.

2. Replace the Habit

Next time you reach for a drink, ask yourself: “What am I avoiding right now?”

Instead of drinking:

• Pray
• Hit the gym
• Go for a walk

Do something that moves you forward, not backward.

3. Get Around Better People

If your circle makes drinking a lifestyle, it’s time to rethink that circle.

“Don’t join those who drink too much wine…” (Prov. 23:20).

Find people who challenge you to be better, not drag you down.

4. Focus on What Really Matters

Drinking isn’t just hurting you—it’s impacting your family, your kids, your future.

God has something bigger for you.

Don’t let alcohol hold you back from stepping into it.

5. Stand Up for Your Convictions

You don’t need to fake a soda water with lime.

Just say no.

Be the guy who can stand firm without worrying about what people think.

Look, I get it—this isn’t easy.

But the easy road isn’t what Christians are called to.

You weren’t made to live in bondage to alcohol, food, or anything else. Break the chains.

Take the first step today.

Why did LBRY do a pre-mine of their own currency? IMO that’s where they set themselves up for failure.
