The Marsden Heights rowers competed in the virtual National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships. First it was the individuals and after logging in the times and a rest we moved on to the relays. A great effort by the lads considering it is Ramadan, fingers crossed @MarsdenHeights

A day on the water at Salford quays practicing for the up and coming rowing competition at Warrington. James put the lads through their paces, it’s impressive how much the group have learnt within the three weeks they have been on the water @MarsdenHeights

The rowers had a run through session on preparation to go onto the water, coaches Helen and James showed the group how to take the boat out and carry out checks. We will be on the water soon to prepare for the summers competition. @MarsdenHeights

A truly amazing achievement by the MHCC rowing group at the AAYR indoor championship 2025 at Birchwood Warrington, Umar Ahmed achieved gold in all great Manchester schools in the individuals and the relay team achieved silver across the whole area @MarsdenHeights

So @qphschester are washing their hands of the Rowing club, I'm absolutely shocked and upset. I'm hearing different stories, one being, it was decided by The Learning Trust Chester, which governs the school and another by the newish headteacher.
