The scholarship was created by MA Convergent Journalism Alums in 2022 to honour the memory of late Prof. Obaid Siddiqui (1957-2020).

[Maktoob @MaktoobMedia]

. @shaheenjournal , Maktoob’s deputy editor, successfully completed a three-month summer residential programme at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom as part of the Essex Media Fellowship. He was one of 10 Indian journalists selected for the fellowship, which spans a total of ten months. The June-August 2024 period was dedicated to in-person courses held on the University’s Colchester campus.
