@WiggerMaggot What does it mean to say ‘not ready for that conversation’?
The only conversations I’m not ready for are the ones I’ve already had 100+ times because I’ve realised it just ends up going in circles.
@kwhat37@eulerianham Do they have their regional accent before coming to? I’ve heard this same thing years ago on Reddit TIL but doesn’t mean they’re faking it.
Also they’ve found being around other people with the lisp makes it more prominent
I find myself sounding more Aussie around other Aussies
@kojimaicmatters I was robbed at knife point last year.
Now I walk around dressed as the monopoly man with $100 bills sticking out of my pockets
It’s the only way I can reclaim power
@221Bbees As a teen, that scene where Sherlock visualises the map of London to take a shortcut to catchup with the car blew my mind.
Maybe I should rewatch and see if it still holds up, I feel it gets a lot of undeserved hate these days.
@Howlingmutant0@9mmsmg@ogwanghaf To this day, when I hear that phone ringtone I’m suddenly agitated.
I heard it on the train and it activated my flight or fight response.
Odd because X has shown me 100s of videos of people dying by train but I’m fine with being around them.. but not that ringtone on the train..
@spergpartytime If I had to come out as gay to conservative parents I’d Art of the Deal it and say I’m trans first and then let them ‘convince’ me I’m not, so when I ‘realise’ I’m gay I’ve already softened the blow by giving them a win.
Negotiate down and make them feel in control.
