@nationalrailenq Do the trains still run as normal between Monkhill via Wakefield and Leeds? So rail replacement is only necessary for journeys between Monkhill and Knottingley?
If anyone is wondering what’s going on with their Electricity Bill, @eon_next advises your smart meter readings could easily only HALF your bill & WRONG by 50% after VAT is added.
Well now it all makes sense.
How do we get a more accurate reading? Thank you.
@Neal_UK Wooh!! Love a second brain. Haha. I’ll definitely look into it and although I had doubts about IHD working when first contacting them, after calculations on actual readings they’re very similar to IHD. So hopefully they’d be able to help… haha. If willing. Lol
@Neal_UK Very helpful! Thanks! Never too early for calculators, arguable too late now kids are up 🤣 I’m looking into options BUT although prices WILL increase, fixed can’t be much cheaper than variable rate? fixed rate tariffs currently much higher than my DD +factoring in future prices?
@Neal_UK Thank you so much!! This would make so much sense and would be appreciated if they’d stated as something that could be easily fixed by them.
Although, calculating my actual usage alongside meter readings (not IHD) + bill costs, I get the same numbers ish🤔
Oh, and the first ‘paragraph’ of credit/debit calculations are not my actual bill charges, the are EXTRA charges and credits just made to my account when added up AFTER meter readings have been done for months, and the £157 is the difference in debit BEFORE and additional £101
And I’m of course no expert but I am able to calculate my personal charges and usage based on the information provided, so of course I did read the ‘meter readings’ not just the smart meter’s IHD (in-home-display?) before even contacting them… ps. This is my personal notes 💩
@northernBetrail@Shaunelious@northernassist I did approach him & asked to buy a ticket, with an envelope in my hand marked ‘transport’ and cash visible for the fare. So it’s obvious I wasn’t trying to not get a ticket in a way I genuinely thought was possible. You’d think he’d give me the option to get off, or buy on phone
@northernassist just got on train with cash, no ticket office or machine on platform, asked to buy ticket & inspector asked for my address details to send something to buy online. I got no slip, wouldn’t take my money and walked off? What do I do on the other side when leaving?
@northernBetrail@Shaunelious@northernassist Thank you. They know the station, there’s one ticket machine only across the bridge on a different platform. I did not have enough time to go there and back, but they said I still need a promise to pay slip from that machine. The inspector could have seen my phone on my buggy.
@Shaunelious@northernBetrail@northernassist Yup! they do 100% every other time indeed! After ‘messaging’ northern like they asked in this thread, they have repeatedly told me it’s their policy and I have to await the letter. Clearly their usual FRIENDLY staff are the ones breaking ‘policy’ when taking my cash for tickets..
@northernassist The inspector refused to tell me the real reason he asked for my address and kept saying it was to ‘buy this ticket later’ using a code through the letter, said I can only buy tickets online now.
@northernBetrail@northernassist Haha. Thank you. I’m so absurd! He even stated because I have the kids with me ‘he’s not going to ask me to pay for the ticket now’ just ‘pay online when I get the letter’. I’m just like, but I can pay now 😭🤣
