If your mother or grandmother prayed the rosary every single day, Catholics used to say something about her that nobody may have told you.
Maybe you can still see it. The beads wrapped around her fingers at the kitchen table. Fifty-three Hail Marys, every day, whether anyone joined her or not. Maybe as a kid you rolled your eyes and went to watch TV.
Fr. Chad Ripperger, an exorcist, was talking about the rosary on a Catholic radio show when he brought up something the older generation took for granted:
"THEY ALWAYS USED TO SAY, AT LEAST WHEN I WAS GROWING UP, IS THAT IF YOU SAID THE ROSARY EVERY SINGLE DAY, IT WAS A SIGN OF PREDESTINATION."
A sign, he explained, that it was God's will that you were going to be in heaven, with Our Lady as the way there. Not a guarantee you can bargain with. A sign. The kind of thing a mother quietly hopes for while she prays.
And Fr. Ripperger said the beads do something right now, too. As a meditation, the rosary
"FLOODS THE MIND WITH PURE IMAGES AND SO THAT IF THERE'S ANY TYPE OF DIABOLIC TEMPTATION OR ATTACK THERE IT CAN DRIVE IT OUT."
So when she sat there every evening, she was not only praying for herself. She was praying over the whole house. Very often, for you by name.
If she is still alive, tell her you noticed. Tonight, if you can. Call her and say: "I know you pray for me. Thank you." Thirty seconds, and she will remember it for years.
If she is gone, pick up where she left off. You do not have to start with fifty-three. Start with one decade.
Hold the beads, or count on your fingers. Say one Our Father. Then ten times, out loud and slowly:
"Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
End with one Glory Be, and then say her name. Four minutes, out loud, at the same table if you still have it.
👇 One word if someone in your family prayed it every day: BEADS.

Parents, I'm a psychology professor and the developer of Independence Therapy for Anxious kids.
The easiest way to set your child on a path to independence is to begin with one simple question.
"What's something you've never done before, without an adult, that you would like to try?"
You might just be amazed at the answers you get.
Share what your child said below!
New holy hour prayer routine that’s been pretty game changing I wanted to share:
1 - Come, Holy Spirit x 33
Just to help recollect
2 - Lord Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner x 33
Cause I am
3 - Sharing with the Lord whatever is on my heart as honestly as I can
4 - Lectio Divina on the daily Gospel & listen for the Lord in silence after
5 - Time with Jesus on the Cross - just seeing myself there with Him - a little bit of memento mori, fast forwarding to my own death
6 - Our Father slowly taking one line at a time
7 - Jesus I surrender myself to You
Highly recommend. Much better at adoration when possible.
Permanent Standard Time is what research suggests is the best for health.
Study suggests most Americans would be healthier without daylight saving time

Everyone agrees the twice-a-year clock change is ridiculous.
But if we’re making one time permanent, why choose the one that most sleep and circadian experts don’t recommend?
Permanent standard time aligns better with our biology because morning sunlight is what sets our internal clocks. Permanent Daylight Saving Time means darker winter mornings, later body clocks, and more circadian disruption. This would be another disaster for American health. It’s probably too late to stop this but switch this to permanent Standard time instead!!!!
Have you ever thought about praying the Rosary specifically for the purification of your memory?
In Catholic thought, the memory is one of the faculties of the soul, alongside the intellect and the will. To purify the memory is to surrender painful recollections, regrets, intrusive thoughts, and unhealthy attachments to Christ, asking Him to free us from their power.
At the beginning of your Rosary, you can simply pray:
“Lord, I offer this Rosary for the purification of my memory.
Take every painful recollection, every regret, and every unholy image, and wash them in Your grace.”
You can also bring this intention into each mystery:
• Agony in the Garden: memories of anxiety and fear
• Scourging at the Pillar: memories of suffering and shame
• Crowning with Thorns: impure or troubling thoughts
• Resurrection: renewal, hope, and new life
Or add a simple clause to the Hail Mary:“…and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus, who purifies my memory.”
Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
An audiologist put in a pair of AirPods Pro for the first time. She took them out after 30 seconds and said:
"These are hearing aids. Apple just doesn't call them that."
She's fitted hearing aids for 12 years. $3,000–$7,000 per pair. She told me:
"Your AirPods Pro have a clinical-grade hearing test built in. The same test I charge $200 for. It maps frequencies your ears miss and adjusts every sound that enters your ears in real time. Music. Podcasts. Phone calls. Everything. Personalized to YOUR hearing. Not default. Not generic. Yours."
"Your AirPods amplify human voices and lower background noise when you start talking. My $5,000 hearing aids do the same thing. Yours cost $249."
"Your AirPods track your head in 3D and place sound around you like a movie theater. My hearing aids can't do that. Yours can."
"Your AirPods measure environmental sound levels and warn you when noise around you is damaging your hearing. Most $5,000 hearing aids don't have this feature. Your $249 earbuds do."
"Your AirPods play clinical background sounds — white noise, rain, ocean — for tinnitus relief and focus. My patients pay $15/month for apps that do the same thing. Your AirPods do it free."
"Your AirPods have a Live Listen mode that turns your iPhone into a remote microphone. Place your phone on a table across a restaurant. Every word streams into your ears. I recommend $300 accessories for this. Your AirPods do it built in."
"Apple built a $5,000 hearing aid and priced it at $249. Then they marketed it as earbuds for music. 300 million people bought them. Almost nobody knows what they actually are."

NEW DEBATE! LIBERAL MEN VS. CONSERVATIVE WOMEN
Over 50 years gender roles have radically changed. Is society better off?
• Young men are less likely to marry, own homes, or become fathers.
• Loneliness and mental-health struggles are rising.
• Men account for nearly 80% of U.S. suicide deaths.
• More working-age men are leaving the workforce.
• Marriage and birth rates are at historic lows.

BREAKING: Roughly 20 people have been killed through New York’s assisted suicide program, which took effect just one month ago.
20 people, made in the image of God, slaughtered in the false name of compassion.
Pray for all those who are suffering, that they may know their lives are still worth living.
Mothers: Stop Carrying the Domestic Load Alone
Ladies, you need to stop carrying the entire domestic load alone.
That is one of the things you have children for.
Children can be taught to contribute to the household from a surprisingly young age. As they grow, their responsibilities should grow with them. If you teach them properly, much of the routine domestic work can gradually be transferred to them, leaving you primarily responsible for supervision, organization, and the work that genuinely requires an adult.
The exact age will depend on the child, but a rough guide looks something like this:
Ages 2–3
Put toys away
Put dirty clothes in the hamper
Carry unbreakable dishes to the table
Wipe small spills
Help put groceries away
Match socks
Ages 4–5
Make their bed
Set and clear the table
Feed pets
Water plants
Help sort laundry
Dust low surfaces
Help prepare simple foods
Put their own clothes away
Ages 6–8
Sweep floors
Vacuum simple areas
Fold laundry
Empty small trash cans
Load and unload parts of the dishwasher
Prepare simple breakfasts and snacks
Help wash dishes
Keep their bedroom reasonably clean
Help with basic yard work
Ages 9–11
Do complete loads of laundry
Load and unload the dishwasher
Clean bathrooms
Vacuum and mop
Take out the trash
Prepare simple meals
Change bed linens
Help care for younger siblings
Perform more substantial yard work
Help with grocery lists and putting food away
Ages 12–14
Cook complete basic meals
Handle their own laundry from beginning to end
Clean the kitchen
Clean bathrooms thoroughly
Mop and vacuum the house
Do routine lawn and garden work
Babysit younger siblings for reasonable periods
Help plan meals
Help with household organization and errands
Ages 15–17
Prepare family meals
Handle most routine household cleaning
Do grocery shopping when practical
Manage their own clothing and belongings completely
Perform substantial yard and maintenance work
Care for younger siblings independently for appropriate periods
Help manage household schedules and recurring tasks
Learn basic repairs and maintenance
Take responsibility for entire areas of the household
By the time your children are teenagers, they should not merely be “helping Mom.” They should be competent members of the household who know how to see what needs doing and do it.
The goal is not merely to reduce your workload.
You are training future adults to run homes of their own.
There is a candle somewhere in your house. On the kitchen table, in the drawer with the matches, left over from a birthday or a power cut. An exorcist says that blessed the proper way, it would be guarding far more than your kitchen.
Fr. Reehil, an exorcist in Nashville, told a room full of people what is written into the Church's own blessing of a candle:
"THERE'S A PART IN THE RITUAL WHERE IT SAYS, AND MAY THE ENTIRE BUILDING IN WHICH THIS CANDLE IS PLACED BE RID OF ALL DEMONS, THAT THEY WOULD FLEE THIS SITE AND NEVER RETURN."
Not the room. The building. And then he pictured it:
"IMAGINE PLACING THAT IN LIKE AN APARTMENT COMPLEX IN NEW YORK CITY THAT HAS, YOU KNOW, A HIGH RISE WITH 1600 UNITS, AND YOUR LITTLE CANDLE IN YOUR APARTMENT IS PUSHING OUT DEMONS FROM THE WHOLE BUILDING."
His own verdict: "THAT IS INSANE."
It is not the wax doing it. He is clear about how these things work:
"SACRAMENTALS DON'T WORK LIKE THAT. THEY WORK UNDER THE POWER AND THE FAITH OF THE ONE GIVING AND RECEIVING THEM."
That is the Church praying over it, and your faith when you light it. It is also why he tells people not to settle for a wave of the hand:
"YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE SHORTCUTS AND JUST DO A GENERAL BLESSING FOR EVERYTHING."
He carries his sacramentals everywhere, and he wants you to have some too:
"THE SACRAMENTALS HAVE GREAT POWER."
So the candle on your table is probably still just a candle. One question changes that. Bring it to your priest after Mass and ask for the blessing of candles from the ritual, the full one. Most priests are glad somebody asked.
Then every time you light it, say this out loud:
"Lord Jesus, You are the light of this house. Every spirit that is not from You, leave this place and never return. Guard everyone under this roof, and the families behind every wall around us. Amen."
The families behind the walls are part of it. That is what he meant by the building.
One practical note: blow it out before you sleep. The blessing does not go out with the flame.
👇 One word if a candle in your house is getting that blessing: KINDLED.

There are 3 Archangels who Intercede for us.
Here is when to ask for their help!
1. Archangel Michael :
. When you feel under attack,
. Temptation, Fear, Confusion that feels dark.
St. Michael is the warrior,
. He casts down Satan, and
. He defends God's people
Ask St Michael for strength, protection, and courage to fight back.
2. Archangel Gabriel :
. When you need Clarity,
. Big decision, a moment when you need to hear God clearly.
Gabriel is the messenger.
. He appears when God has something to say.
Ask Archangel Gabriel for light, direction, and the grace to say yes to God.
3. Archangel Raphael :.
.When you need healing,
Body, mind, heart, even broken relationships.
Raphael is the healer and guide.
. In scripture, he heals, protects and leads Tobias safely on the road.
Ask Archangel Raphael for healing, peace and guidance, when the road feels long.
Your wedding photo is probably still up somewhere in your house. Two people at an altar, a day you will never forget. If your marriage is a sacrament, the theologians say someone else was given to it that day, and you have probably never said one word to him.
Not your guardian angel. Not your children's. One more.
Fr. Ripperger, an exorcist, was teaching on the guardian angels. He had just explained that a priest is given another angel when he is ordained, to guide and protect his priesthood. Then he turned to married couples:
"WHEN THE MARRIAGE BECOMES SACRAMENTALLY VALID, WHEN PEOPLE BECOME MARRIED, GOD CONSIGNS ANOTHER GUARDIAN ANGEL TO THE MARRIAGE."
"THERE'S ACTUALLY A GUARDIAN ANGEL OF THE FAMILY."
He is careful to call it the common opinion of the theologians. But think about what it means. The day you said your vows, God gave your marriage a guardian of its own. Before the first baby. Before the first hard year. He has been there through all of it, the fights and the making up, and most couples have never once asked him for anything.
Fr. Ripperger's advice is simple:
"YOU CAN ACTUALLY ASK YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL OF YOUR FAMILY TO PROTECT US"
Later, answering a question, he added one more thing to ask, this time of each child's own angel:
"THAT'S ANOTHER THING THAT'S REALLY GOOD IS ASKING THE GUARDIAN ANGEL OF YOUR CHILDREN THAT THEY FIND THE RIGHT SPOUSE OR DISCERN THEIR VOCATION PROPERLY."
Somewhere tonight is the person your child will marry, or the life God is calling them to. You cannot choose it for them. But you can ask.
So tonight, before the lights go out, take your husband's or wife's hand. If you pray alone, say it anyway. Thirty seconds:
"Guardian angel of our marriage, God gave you to us the day we said our vows, and we have hardly ever spoken to you. Thank you for every year you stayed with us, the easy ones and the hard ones. Guard the two of us tonight, and keep us faithful to what we promised. Guardian angels of our children, lead them to the right spouse, or to the life God made them for. Keep this family close to God. Amen."
On your next anniversary, say it again. He was at the wedding too.
👇 One word if you just thanked the angel of your marriage, maybe for the first time: THANKED. And send this to a couple you love, because their marriage was given an angel too.

It’s this line of thinking that caused me to pull the ejection lever from an unreasonably successful career in Silicon Valley to build cabinets in my home town.
I’m back in the grind now with Eight Amps, but it has such a different character because I’m operating on different terms with different goals.
Especially if you’re still young, take this advice as early as possible.
I miss incandescent light bulbs, and know I’m not alone.
Millions of Americans mourn their disappearance, which began when the federal government effectively banned them just a few years ago.
LED light bulbs are amazingly efficient and have their place, but they’re expensive and not well suited for every customer in every situation.
My bill, the LIT Act (“LIT” is short for “Liberating Incandescent Technology”), would give American consumers the freedom to choose the right light bulb for the job—even if that means incandescent lighting—based on their own, unique needs and preferences.
We’re discussing the LIT Act today at a hearing before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
Passing this legislation would be a huge win for consumer choice, competition, affordability, and aesthetics.
