@TheCalvinCooli1 This movie was great and people rooting for it to fail just don’t want films with positive messages about masculinity to succeed. It’s going to have a long tail of repeat viewers and will be way more successful than the naysayers would like it to be.

3) This movie SHOULD make a billion dollars, but the powers that be (the ones that form the narratives, not the ones who hold the purse strings) don’t want it to, and they want to use it as an example that the culture doesn’t want this kind of movie anymore. #MastersOfTheUniverse

2) Too many stupid people are considered “influencers”, who write a movie off because of one actor who isn’t visible on screen and has all but been erased from any involvement outside of his performance. #MastersOfTheUniverse

@ClownfishTVcom I really hope positive word-of-mouth will turn the tide for this movie. It was flawed, but those flaws are just beauty marks. It's biggest flaw is the runtime.

The other thing is - there's no "sympathy for the devil" sub-plot, set to make us feel bad for the villain, and that was a breath of fresh air. They really should have released it on Father's Day weekend, though. It's almost like they wanted it to bomb.

Masters of the Universe was the most fun I've had in a theater since the first Avengers movie. It's a fun, campy, flick with a lot of heart. It's pro-virtuous masculinity, which is wild to see from a culture that seems to hate strong male characters.

@bonchieredstate This was one of the most pro-masculinity movies I have seen in a long time. The difference is - it's pro-virtuous masculinity. And I think that's why it's bombing - the marketing doesn't reflect that, and nobody in Hollywood seems to like movies that are unapologitically pro-man.

@Protestia Bethel-ites LOVE using sexual terminology to describe the Holy Spirit. At a local conference a few years ago, Bethel children's "pastor" Seth Dahl said that the Holy Spirit wants to make the church "pregnant" with revival. Such a perverse twisting of the character of God.

@News_8 I HATE when people take the pump on the wrong side. My car has the tank on the passenger's side, and it's so frustrating to see people go out of their way to stretch the hose over their vehicle to pump their gas, just to save a few seconds of waiting.
