Israeli directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor — who are two of the four co-directors of Oscar winner “No Other Land” — return with "NAZA."
The new documentary was shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv and shows “in detail the systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza,” per an official synopsis. Abraham and Szor interviewed 24 Israeli military intelligence officers and soldiers — all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity — who were involved in the surveillance or remote killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Their appearance and voices were digitally altered to disguise their identities.
"I think that this piece is likely to make the denial of what took place in Gaza — not only its genocidal nature, but really the specifics of what it looked like from inside the Israeli system — harder. We know there is a lot of denial happening. And to me, that denial is one factor that contributes to the crimes persisting," Abraham tells Variety.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
Today marks the 78th anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe), during which more than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled and over 400 villages were destroyed to establish the State of Israel.
Este año no estaremos en Eurovisión, pero lo haremos con la convicción de estar en el lado correcto de la historia.
Por coherencia, responsabilidad y humanidad.
REVEALED: It took 18 months, and multiple FOI battles, but we can now reveal Ireland approved €20 million in military-capable dual-use exports to the IDF and Israeli Ministry of Defense during the height of its military assault on Gaza in 2024.

A young girl is her family’s sole survivor from an Israel airstrike. A baby is recovering from head injuries in another. The number of child casualties in Lebanon is abnormally high, doctors say. With @GarwenM@CunninghamCSky@Jeehad_jn@waeltaleb23
Unforgivable how little contrition or condemnation there was by European and US leaders following this horror. Barely covered by western press. If they’d been European, American or Israeli children the world would have (rightfully) stood still.
The scale of the killing in Israeli strikes on Lebanon Wednesday is "horrific", the UN rights chief said, urging the international community to help end the unfolding "nightmare." https://t.co/sG1VQrJuKp
El Gobierno de España condena la pena de muerte contra palestinos que acaba de aprobar el parlamento de Israel. Se trata de una medida asimétrica que no se aplicaría a los israelíes que cometieran los mismos delitos.
Mismo crimen, distinta pena.
Eso no es justicia. Es un paso más hacia el apartheid.
El mundo no puede callar.
Israel must immediately repeal the discriminatory death penalty law passed today by the Knesset, as it contravenes Israel’s obligations under international law.
The United Nations opposes the death penalty under all circumstances. The implementation of this new law would violate international law's prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment.
Additionally, this law further entrenches Israel’s violation of the prohibition of racial segregation and apartheid as it will exclusively apply to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Israel, who are often convicted after unfair trials.
Read @UNHumanRights earlier statement and analysis about the death penalty draft bill:
https://t.co/oHVrU5nomP…
Israel's conviction rate of Palestinians (in military courts) is 99.74%
Israel's conviction rate of reported settler attacks on Palestinians is 1.8%
Israel's death sentence will only apply against Palestinians not Israeli Jews
It's not complicated. It's Apartheid!
Israel has passed a law to execute Palestinian detainees.
Death by hanging.
Mandatory sentencing.
No pardon.
90 days to kill them.
It applies through military courts - 97.5% conviction rate.
Doesn't apply to Israelis.
Horrific apartheid - worse than South Africa.
Silence
NEW: It’s a journocide. Israel admits to targeting & killing three more journalists & making up false evidence.
Journalists in the west have a moral responsibility to speak up. The blowback from this impunity is coming next for us all.
1/
Three big problems with Israel's new death penalty law beyond its cruelty:
1. Israel shouldn't be legislating for illegally occupied territory.
2. Military courts lack due process.
3. The bill is discriminatory, mainly for Palestinians who kill Jews. https://t.co/SuE99KSNXx
The Geneva Convention says it’s a war crime to target journalists, even if they work for an enemy organisation. It’s also a war crime to target medical workers. After the killing of 3 Lebanese TV journos last week, several medics coming to help them were killed as well.
Seems like Mr Levy is advocating the killing of any journalists reporting on parts of this war he doesn’t want covered? @OliverGMarsden reminds him of another targeted attack on journalists in Lebanon, which killed @Reuters journo Issam Abdullah and badly wounded others including @AFP journo Christina Assi
