Why was the cross necessary?
What did it achieve?
What does it show us about the nature of God?
Come and hear from Dr Jane Williams (@stmellitus).
Preachers, leaders, disciples, sceptics, and the curious, there will be something for you all.

A joy to be among those praying for @ArchbishopSarah as she sets off on foot from the quire of @StPaulsLondon for Canterbury on pilgrimage today for her installation next week.

I’m very grateful to @bishopSarahM for her kindness and thoughtfulness throughout welcoming me back to the @dioceseoflondon. Huge congratulations and prayers for her as she takes up the role of @OfficeofABC.
Saw a bloke on the tube at 7.30am peel the cover off a Sainsbury's trifle.
People were watching, interested to see how he'd approach it.
He got a large Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut bar out of his pocket, unwrapped it, then used it as a spoon to eat the trifle.
Sensational viewing
‘Being a disciple of Jesus doesn’t end with personal transformation, as significant as that is. It leads naturally to multiplication: Disciples make disciples.’
Thank you @PaulTWoolley from @liccltd for joining us at St Michael’s Chester Square this morning. @dioceseoflondon
The radical call to whole life discipleship.
Looking forward to hearing @PaulTWoolley of @liccltd this Sunday at St Michael’s Chester Square. If you’re within reach of London, come along, or join us online!
We’re recruiting an Associate Vicar for St Michael's Chester Square.
It’s a highly strategic role in our ‘glocal’ location at a key time to make a significant impact and grow as a leader.
Please do share if you know someone who would be interested!

Congratulations to @ric_thorpe on his election as Archbishop of Melbourne. For decades, Ric has been a driving force behind church growth in London. Since his time leading the transformation of St Paul’s Shadwell, parishes across @dioceseoflondon have benefited from his strategic drive and energy - as has the wider Church of England in his national role as Bishop of Islington in recent years.
We have so much to thank Ric for. He will be missed here, and he and Louie will leave for Melbourne with our prayers and deepest gratitude.
