If only there was a mining super-profits tax - the government would have many billions of dollars to allocate to the bush fire recovery task ... another good policy, like the carbon price, destroyed by the Coalition
Scott Morrison is unfit for office.
Not only did he ignore the advice of fire experts in the lead up to this catastrophe, but he instead chose to lobby for the coal industry at a time when he should have been keeping Australians safe.
Looking forward to #overthrowScoMo this Friday. If you're in #Australia, there's a protest happening near you! If you ❤️ this country, furious as #AustraliaBurns and hate @ScottMorrisonMP & his complete inability to deal with this crisis, get angry & lets get rid of him for good!
Lives lost, millions of animals dead, toxic air pollution harming peoples health. We are in the midst of an environmental catastrophe. This is what the climate emergency looks like.
Time for debate is over.
Australia needs a climate policy that is fit for the crisis we’re in.
I just want to remind everyone that *literally the reason Scott Morrison is the PM* is that the Liberal Party wouldn’t let Malcolm Turnbull pass an energy policy that addressed climate change
Today is #worldcleanupday and so I started the work day picking up rubbish with some of my colleagues. We were gunna clean up around Blackwattle Bay, but we'd already collected 3 huge bags of rubbish before we even… https://t.co/TIdoiLgRGQ

Australia not in good place, crashing real estate, crashing stock market, anaemic wages, too high debt, 1950s politics, manufacturing left to fall apart, biggest customer in trade war, squandered opportunities, failure to plan for future, heads in sand. Now the reckoning! #auspol
Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, all had massive Christian backing. These are historical, empirically unassailable facts. Deal with it.

Give my Allianz Australia colleague Eliza Ridley and I a dollar today we'll turn it into two. How? We’re participating in Steptember this year (under the awesome team name The Crunchy Peanut Butters, hence the jar of PB), taking the equivalent of 10,000 s…https://t.co/JJCQyFYMJg
Why stop there?
Why not pray for full employment? Growth in real wages? A lift in productivity? Inflation between 2 and 3%? A cut in company tax for big business? Zero government debt? Affordable childcare? Sunny days for beach holidays? South Sydney to win the premiership?
I always love that delayed reaction when you're walking through an automatic door, and it notices you've walked through just a little bit too late, as if to say, "woahhhh sorry about trying to close on ya there buddy"
