That's a wrap for placement. So pleased to have passed and felt like I have learnt so much in the past 6 weeks - it has flown by.

I got to shadow the learning disability team today seeing a few patients. Genuinely didn't know how invested and interested I could get after only meeting people once ๐คฃ

I got to sit in on a internal run group today called the 'recovery cafe' where some patients on our case load come together to do a variety of activities including walks, gardening and coffee chats in order to support in the recovery of alcohol and / or drug misuse

Supervision was completed, sat in on the MS Teams MDT, worked on a project and started preparations for my finale report. How am I already two thirds of the way through ๐

Completed my presentation preparation that I am giving next week at the Adult Mental Health OT development meeting in NHS Highland, outlining the benefits of taking on students for placements.
@georgiacgreaves Mental health within the LGBTQIA+ community, discrimination, gender and sexual identity struggles (labels aren't always necessary), PrEP and people on PrEP shouldn't take NSAIDs

Got to attend the Drumossie Hotel for @NHSHighland's social prescribing in the highlands knowledge and networking conference.
It was great to meet staff from other departments within NHS highlands and third sector organisations.

Spent the morning with patients at Lochciew Rural Training Farm to see the animals, complete some mindfulness and pot some plants! The afternoon was spent writing notes and making a start on a PowerPoint I have to present in a few weeks

Completed my halfway report during our supervision... successfully passed! Also got to sit in on a restructure meeting in the afternoon with the whole team and some managers from higher up in the NHS

And that's me halfway through placement! Today was our last session of Branching Out, spent at Loch Migdale. One of the SUs was so sweet and got me a thank you card. It was then on to Joe's surprise leaving party! ๐๐ก๐ฒ

The morning yesterday was spent in the sun doing various things with patients. The afternoon was spent planning, preparing and doing notes. Photo - much needed milkshake stop after being in the sun

Spent the morning catching up on paperwork and reading, then headed off with a patient to the @kosutherlandhub for the craftie cafe where we decorated wellie boot planters ๐ชด๐จ๐

Spent the day filling in an initial assessment, helping clear some stuff out of the office and did some odd jobs to keep me on track for my final report
