We’ve stood up to powerful nursing home chains like Chartwell, Extendicare and Sienna and won decision after decision to preserve our members’ rights to pay equity. It’s time to reduce the gender pay gap and fulfill this fundamental human right to fair compensation. #PayEquityNow
Thanks to @EqualPayON for their advocacy. We need investments & policies that enable our communities to flourish: affordable public child care, 10 employer-paid sick days & access to quality public healthcare & education for all women.

Today is #EqualPayDay. Women still earn 32% less than men. The gap is even larger for Black women, Indigenous women, Arab women and women w disabilities.
We need strong public investment in community services to narrow the gap & increase women's economic liberation.
Today is #EqualPayDay - the day to which women have worked to earn wages the average man earned in 2023. We have a long way to go and work to do to ensure women's work is valued and paid equally.
