Dr. Vin Gupta: There is no proven link between the childhood vaccine schedule and the development of autism. There are other much more plausible and proven risks that we just don’t talk about because they are so focused on their hypothesis that’s been debunked. Environmental risk factors—a large risk factor—they don’t talk about that because they’re making our environment a lot worse.
Wofsy: It’s very clear this new executive order is trying to strip away the citizenship of members of our class. And so, we think it’s well within the court’s discretion to say, you can’t do that. It doesn’t matter if it’s based on Executive Order 1, Executive Order 2, or Executive Order 100. The rule the Supreme Court laid out is very clear.
Tapper: What is your husband saying about conditions on the ship?
Wife of Service Member Aboard USS Lincoln: My husband is appalled at the conditions on this ship. This is not his first deployment. This is not his first time being out there. And he is saying that it is the worst deployment that he's ever been on. And he also says that his shipmates say the same.
Ta-Nehisi Coates rejects blaming voters who wouldn’t back Kamala Harris over Gaza for her loss to Trump in 2024, saying many were asked to vote for a Democratic administration enabling a genocide against their own families.
“That’s you. That’s not me. And that’s not who I want to be,” he said.
He drew a historical parallel: Black Americans didn’t accept being sacrificed for Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal, whose Social Security and housing programs were written to exclude most Black workers in order to win Southern votes, and Frederick Douglass pressured and publicly criticized Abraham Lincoln through much of the Civil War, warming to him only late.
The author of The Case for Reparations added, “If we get access to any sort of power, we can’t do what was done to us.”
Wife of US Service Member on Lincoln reacts to Trump’s statement: I don't think the man thinks before he talks. Take some accountability for what's going on with your military, your ships, and your war.
We heard Hegseth and the president essentially saying that families are lying and service members are lying, even though the proof is right here on my phone.
It's infuriating that they're not taking accountability and not having any sort of sympathy for our service members that they they claim that they support when it's politically, you know, sound for them—until our troops need support. And now suddenly everyone's lying.
I so badly would love to plaster my face and blow the whistle so loud on social media with my name and be like, this is real. But unfortunately, I have to protect my husband's career

Imagine being some 18-year-old who enlisted in the Navy last year to escape poverty and do better for your family. Because that was the best option available.
You don't follow politics. You didn't vote in the last election. You just know you've been told by all the adults in your life that military service is honorable and will turn you into a responsible adult and citizen.
You and your shipmates have been stuck on an aircraft carrier for more than 280 days in support of a war that is clearly not going well.
It's bad enough that it's your first time away from your home and family, but to make matters much worse, conditions on the ship have deteriorated.
Supplies have dwindled -- things like quality food and toiletries. There's a scarcity of clean water. There are plumbing issues. The mail system is dysfunctional.
On top of that, the stress of all the above is getting to you and your shipmates, including your leadership.
Morale is low. The collective mental health of the ship has dropped substantially. This is leading to safety issues within basic operations. More troublingly, there are rumors of sailors harming themselves.
These might be suicide attempts. They might not be. Rumors abound. Your leadership has to balance between being frank about what's occurring but without letting it further affect morale.
It's unclear that anyone in your government cares about any of this, and the snippets of news that reach you are about Pete Hegseth denying anything's wrong while you and your shipmates are miserable.
And meanwhile, while all this is happening, a bunch of dipshits sitting in front of their computers at home in air-conditioned rooms are saying you deserve what's happening because they assume your politics don't match theirs.
Imagine being that young sailor right now.
Court documents reveal Republican Rep. Max Miller complaining about being able to make future restraining order hearings because Republicans in Congress hold a "very small majority"
His lawyer simply replied: "Max, nobody cares."

Enten: "Even a majority of Republicans -- 52% -- that loyal Republican base who has been through thick and thin with Donald John Trump, even they have turned against the president on gas prices ... these are just atrocious numbers"
