Of all professions - health is supposed to be a caring profession. I find their arrogance & lack of consideration rampant so often. Things as you describe but the excessive waiting times - they have no regard for our time but expect us to wait & wait some more! ‘The Dr is busy ‘ does not cut it when I make an appt in my lunch break! Our time is not as valued as theirs? Our profession less important? And, yes, there are emergencies in my day job too! No excuse for the way clinics are run

Malcolm, if the party is truly as close to extinction as you claim, why are you still a member? Why are you hanging around acting as the mouthpiece for its loudest critics?

If you had even the slightest skerrick of integrity, you’d resign from the party and announce it publicly. But as we know all too well, integrity has never been your strong suit. You simply sound like a bitter old man desperately trying to stay relevant.

Another example of people hearing only what they want to hear.

Barnaby Joyce is being piled on for supposedly saying that “girls are not as good as boys”. That is not what he was arguing.

Joyce was speaking at an anti-abortion demonstration outside the NSW Parliament, organised by anti-abortion campaigner Joanna Howe, in support of a bill proposed by Libertarian MP @JohnRuddick2 to criminalise sex-selective abortions.

His point was straightforward: if you support abortions based solely on the sex of the unborn child, then you are effectively saying one sex is preferable to the other. Joyce explicitly rejected that view, stating: “If you support sex-determined abortions, then what’s happening is people are preferencing boys over girls. I actually don’t.”

Likewise, when he posted, “This law in NSW must be passed or otherwise we all accept that sex selection is appropriate. Girls are not as good as boys,” he was not expressing his own belief. He was highlighting the logic behind sex-selective abortion, that it treats girls as less desirable than boys.

You may agree or disagree with his position on abortion, but deliberately misrepresenting what he said does nothing to advance an honest debate.

The word ‘divisive’ seems to be the word du jour to describe political opponents and anyone who may be threat to our govt leaders. It replaces ‘racist’ which was so casually thrown about that it has become meaningless. Looks like soundly reasoned argument is not their thing.
